We are a team of Pharmacists (Ingrid, Maria & Aji) and a Pharmacy Technician (Patrick) that have been working across three GP practices in the East Eastbourne area since mid-2020 Stone Cross Surgery, Princess Park Health Centre and Harbour Medical Practice.  Between us we have experience working in pharmacies across a variety of healthcare settings, including community pharmacy, hospital inpatient and outpatient pharmacy, and working within GP practice. 

Our work focuses on ensuring the medicines you take are safe, effective, and working well for you as an individual, because no two patients are the same.  We do this by conducting routine medicines reviews on behalf of your GP.  During these reviews we to try to understand more about how you take your medicines, how they fit into your daily routine, and what matters to you most about taking them.  

When you are discharged from Hospital, we will also do a check on your medicines to make sure that any changes are actioned promptly, and that you understand about these changes – so we may ring you to discuss this once you get home. 

Throughout the COVID pandemic we have been working remotely (out of the practices) and performing our medication reviews over the phone, which has worked quite well and meant we have been able to do many reviews with patients that might otherwise have struggled to come into the surgery. As things return to the “new normal” we will be hoping to resume face to face appointments, so please let us know if you would prefer this and we can try to arrange with your surgery.
